arches 2026 trip guide
It’s going to be an awesome trip! Here’s some info before we go.
NOTE: If you are not going, or choose not to go at any point -> text "NOT GOING” to the RiddleXA number.
Departure
You should have been contacted by your van/car driver by Friday morning.
If you do not know which van you are in on Friday, contact Kim @ (928) 533-1069.
Packing
Recommended Packing List:
shoes to hike in
warm clothes (pants, jacket, hat/beanie, gloves, extra layers)
snacks and lunch for hiking on Saturday
plenty of water
headlamp/flashlight
There is a pool, hot tub, and free breakfast at the hotel. We will eat dinner in town on Saturday night.
WAIVERS /Payment
Fill out the XA waiver. Due Fri 1/16 @ 3PM:
Venmo Kim $60 with “ARCHES” as the message (or bring cash)
Parking
If you are leaving your car at Lot F, you must fill out this form:
ERAU Students (Submit by 1pm on Thursday)
Non-ERAU:
Unfortunately, non-students can’t park on campus. Please find a ride and reach out to staff if there are issues.

FRIDAY:
Travel to Archway Inn, Moab
SATURDAY:
7-8am: Breakfast
8:30-9:00am: GET GAS & Grab food for lunch
9:15am Leave for Corona Arch
Hike Corona Arch
Travel to Canyonlands
Hike Mesa Arch (*bonus: hike Grandview Overlook if time allows)
Travel to Murphy’s Point
Hike Murphy’s Point (Sunset is 5:23pm, start by 4pm)
Return to Moab for dinner/hotel
SUNDAY:
7-8am: Breakfast
8:30am: Leave for Landscape Arch
Hike Landscape Arch
Travel to Double Arch
Hike/walk Double Arch
Travel to Delicate Arch
Hike Delicate Arch
Travel home
SUMMARY CHECKLIST:
I filled out the XA Waiver
I paid using Venmo (or bringing cash)
I filled out the correct parking form if leaving a vehicle
